Tour Details

The Deosai Plains are located between the Indus River and the Himalayan Range’s southern extension, with NangaSheosar Lake in Deosai Plains Parbat being the most noteworthy (8125 m). At an average elevation of 3800 metres, the undulating, lush, flower-filled meadows are flanked by snow-capped peaks, and travelling over those plains is a soul-stirring experience. The Deosai Plains are the world’s second highest plateau, after the nearby Tibetan Plateau, Nanga Parbat Rupal Face Above Sheosar Lake, with an average elevation of 4,114 metres (13,497 feet) above sea level.

The park has a total area of 3,000 square kilometres (1,200 square miles). The alpine steppe ecoregion Karakoram-West Tibetan plateau is widely renowned for its diverse flora and fauna.
