Muzaffarabad is the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, which is administered by Pakistan. The city is situated near the confluence of the Jhelum and Neelum rivers in the Muzaffarabad District.
Muzaffarabad, at an elevation of roughly 2400 feet, is the capital of Azad Jammu Kashmir. The earthy brown water of the Jhelum river and the sky blue-tinted water of the Neelum river meet at Muzaffarabad at the River Neelum and River Jhelum meeting point. Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital city, is about a 4-hour drive away. It’s a pit stop on the way to Kashmir’s main tourist attractions. A lovely site surrounded by valleys and mountains, with recent modifications in road construction, the drive has been made smooth to facilitate tourism; however, the entire route is quite narrow and runs on a constant loop, which can be confusing for many people.
